City of Kingston – Hand Rail replacement

Handrail replacement works at Structure ST0050, Bonbeach Beach. The original defect identified was corrosion of the handrail newel posts. Works undertaken:

• Removal of the deteriorated handrail section.
• Installation of a new like-for-like galvanised handrail assembly.
• Secure connection to sound existing buried steel substrate.
• Restoration of corrosion protection to welded and disturbed surfaces.

Reinstatement of a safe and serviceable public handrail system.
