About the project:
The Murray Irrigation Bridge Inspection Project was a significant infrastructure assessment initiative commissioned by Murray Irrigation. Bridge Inspection Engineers carried out all the 350 Level 2 inspections as per TfNSW Road Inspection Manual while BG&E carried out all the level 3 investigations. The project involved conducting Level 2 inspections on approximately 350 structures, including bridges and culverts, across a vast 15,000-square-kilometer area in southern New South Wales.
The inspections focused on critical irrigation structures located in key areas such as Deniliquin, Finley, Berrigan, Wakool, Moama, Conargo, and neighbouring regions. These detailed assessments ensured the structural integrity, safety, and ongoing functionality of assets vital to the region’s irrigation networks and community connectivity.
